They serve delicious food and activities like snorkeling and kayaking are included so we think the pricing is very reasonable. We paid 60€ for the hut in the picture with a shared bathroom and all meals. The weather was perfect and the staff was lovely so we had wonderful 2 nights there.

The wonderful Siglo Hotel is located on one of the most northern fjords in Iceland, just below the polar circle. If you are lucky, you can experience the northern lights in this area from October to March. Siglufjörður is a charming town with small coffee shops and restaurants.
We loved the coziness of the rooms, the hot pool right next to the fjord, the sauna, and the included breakfast buffet. It’s a bit of a detour when driving from Akureyri back to the South but it’s so worth it. We only had one night, as we were on a short schedule, but we would definitely stay there again. A hotel room for 1.000$? You might think that we’re out of our minds. But Uga Chena Huts right next to the Yala National Park on the South-Eastern coast of Sri Lanka is worth every penny. You will be surrounded by wild animals like monkeys and elephants and it is located directly on the ocean. All the huts come with a private pool, a terrace, a big bathtub, and all-inclusive food which is on Michelin star level when you ask us.
There are also 2 safaris included per night to see elephants, leopards, crocodiles and other animals. The rooms are cleaned every morning and evening, the mini bar is refilled and even laundry is included. You will not have to worry about anything once you arrive here – it’s just a dream and definitely one of the best hotels we ever stayed in!
