Vietnam

in a nutshell

Today’s culture is the result of Vietnamese indigenous people, the Chinese and the French colonial rule. Vietnam’s food is fresh and one of our favorites in the whole world. Around 75% of the Vietnamese people are not religious.

Maybe you should think about Malaria prophylaxes.

Also you should check the „standard“ vaccinations as well as hepatitis A+B, typhus, rabies, Japanese encephalitis and diphtheria. There is Dengue Fever and the Zika-Virus, too, but there are no vaccinations for these diseases.

There is no visa requirement for a stay up tp 15 days. If you want to stay longer, you need to apply online for a e-Visa which allows you to stay up tp 30 days. This is possible for over 80 states. It costs you 25$ and takes 3 days to be processed.

Vietnam is a safe country in general. Be aware of pickpockets in crowded areas, for example at train stations or airports.

Vietnam is a cheap country for traveling. Hotels are cheap, be sure to not book the cheapest ones, because they may not be clean. Local food is delicious and cheap.
